On February 2nd, nanshan Temple in Sanya opened the first parent-child Meditation camp, 30 children and their parents from all over the country, more than 60 people participated in the experience, the youngest was 5 years old, the oldest was 14 years old.
This meditation camp is for young children and their parents. Taking Buddhism as the foundation of entering the world, Confucianism as the way to be a man, and parent-child training as the basis of communication, the camp integrates The Buddhism culture, zen culture, and the teachings of Confucius and Meng, aiming to promote the spirit of Elder Ben Hwan, the master of Zen Buddhism, not seeking happiness for himself, but wishing all living beings to be free from suffering.
It was the first time for the children to eat at the temple at noon, and they had to clean their plates after the lunch. At three o 'clock in the afternoon, at the opening ceremony, the first master zhikong of Nanshan Temple revealed that nanshan Temple, backed by Nanshan Mountain and facing the South China Sea, is a sacred Place of Buddhism. Time is money. I hope the campers can cherish their time here. I also hope the children can develop good habits of work and rest and study from an early age. After the opening ceremony,The campers went on a temple tour to learn about Nanshan Temple under the guidance of Master Dun Sheng, and there was also a meditation session that evening, which continued until 9 p.m.
From the sixth to the tenth day of the Lunar New Year, children and their parents and teachers will learn about Buddhism and Traditional Chinese culture through learning Buddhist rituals, reciting Buddhist scriptures, copying Buddhist scriptures, learning sign language dance, worshiping mountains, meditation and other activities.
